Arunachala is a music maker, percussionist currently based in Perth, Australia. Creatively laying down solid backbeats for the last two decades, he released his debut album ‘To Begin’ in July 2022. Arunachala draws influence from the street beats of his Malaysian childhood, sub-continent roots, love of the blues, and quality conservatorium grounding. He has toured, produced, written and gigged with some amazing Australian musicians, but cut his teeth with the likes of West Australian country roots legends Blue Shaddy and blues guitar slinger and award-winning Melbourne songwriter Lloyd Spiegel. Arunachala is currently recording and performing live with the superb Noongar songman Maatakitj, the Dave Mann Collective and various other talented local and international artists as a session percussionist.
